Description:

The Weems-Botts Museum is a small area museum that relates the history of Dumfries, one of the oldest towns in the state. It is located inside a historic building, built in the 1700s and owned by Parson Weems, who used it as a bookstore, and Benjamin Botts, who was on Aaron Burr's legal defense council. In addition to the historical building and exhibits, the museum is also rumored to be haunted by past residents of the home. Sitting just east of I-95 in Dumfries, the museum is close to Prince William Forest Park.

Open Wed. - Sun. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Closed Mon. - Tue.

Admission Details:

Adults $3; Seniors and Children (6-16) $2; Children 5 and under are free.
